Summary
The Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company’s websites and web applications. This includes working with the product team to understand the requirements for new features, as well as working with the marketing team to ensure that websites are optimized for search engines. The Web Developer will also be responsible for ensuring that websites are secure and compliant with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the company’s websites and web applications: This includes working with the product team to understand the requirements for new features, as well as working with the marketing team to ensure that websites are optimized for search engines.
- Ensure that websites are secure and compliant with industry standards: This includes implementing security measures to protect websites from unauthorized access, as well as ensuring that websites comply with industry standards such as PCI DSS and HIPAA.
- Work with other departments to ensure that websites are aligned with the company’s overall goals: This includes working with the sales team to ensure that websites are aligned with sales goals, working with the product development team to ensure that websites are aligned with product development goals, and working with the customer service team to ensure that websites are aligned with customer service goals.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest web development trends: This includes reading industry publications, attending conferences, and following thought leaders on social media.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Experience in web development
- Strong understanding of web development principles and techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think logically and solve problems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
