Treasury Accountant

Summary

The Treasury Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s treasury functions, including cash flow management, debt management, and risk management. The Treasury Accountant will work with other members of the finance team to ensure that the company’s treasury is sound and that the company is able to meet its financial obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cash flow. This includes forecasting cash flows, monitoring cash balances, and managing cash inflows and outflows.
  • Manage debt. This includes tracking debt obligations, managing debt payments, and negotiating debt terms.
  • Manage risk. This includes identifying and managing financial risks, such as interest rate risk, currency risk, and liquidity risk.
  • Administer treasury policies and procedures. This includes ensuring that treasury policies and procedures are in place and that they are being followed.
  • Prepare treasury reports. This includes preparing reports on treasury activities, such as cash flow reports, debt reports, and risk reports.
  • Provide treasury advice to management. This includes providing guidance on treasury-related matters, such as investment decisions, financing decisions, and risk management decisions.
  • Other duties as assigned. This may include a variety of other tasks related to treasury, such as conducting research, preparing presentations, and providing support to other departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in treasury.
  • Strong understanding of treasury principles and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to think critically and make sound financial decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
