The Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, as well as providing tax advice to management. The Tax Accountant will work with other members of the accounting team to ensure that the company complies with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
Prepare and review tax returns. This includes preparing corporate income tax returns, payroll tax returns, and other tax-related returns.
Provide tax advice to management. This includes providing guidance on tax-efficient business structures, tax-deductible expenses, and tax credits and deductions.
Administer tax compliance functions. This includes ensuring that the company files all required tax returns, pays all taxes on time, and complies with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
Analyze financial data for tax planning purposes. This includes analyzing financial data to identify potential tax savings opportunities, and to ensure that the company is maximizing its tax benefits.
Communicate with tax authorities. This includes communicating with tax authorities regarding tax audits, tax assessments, and other tax-related matters.
Other duties as assigned. This may include a variety of other tasks related to tax, such as conducting research, preparing presentations, and providing support to other departments.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field.
Experience in tax.
Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to think critically and make sound financial decisions.
