
Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Training Manager to lead the development and execution of our sales training programs. As the Sales Training Manager, you will be responsible for enhancing the sales team’s skills, knowledge, and performance through comprehensive training initiatives. Responsibilities
Training Program Development:
- Design and develop comprehensive sales training programs, including onboarding, product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, and customer relationship building.
- Create engaging and interactive training materials, presentations, and resources to facilitate effective learning experiences.
Sales Training Delivery:
- Conduct training sessions for new hires during the onboarding process to ensure a smooth integration into the sales team.
- Deliver ongoing sales training sessions to existing sales representatives to reinforce best practices, product updates, and sales methodologies.
- Utilize various training methodologies, such as workshops, role-playing, e-learning, and virtual training, to accommodate different learning styles.
Sales Coaching and Performance Support:
- Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to sales representatives to address individual performance gaps and enhance their selling skills.
- Work closely with sales managers to identify performance improvement opportunities and design personalized coaching plans.
Sales Process and Methodology:
- Implement and reinforce a standardized sales process and methodology across the sales team.
- Continuously review and improve the sales process based on market trends, customer feedback, and industry best practices.
Sales Performance Measurement:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales training programs.
- Track and analyze sales performance data to evaluate the impact of training initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
Training Program Evaluation and Improvement:
- Gather feedback from sales representatives and sales managers on the effectiveness of training programs.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure the knowledge retention and skill development of trainees.
- Use feedback and data analysis to make data-driven improvements to the training curriculum and delivery methods.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:
- Collaborate with sales leadership, marketing, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment on training content and objectives.
- Liaise with subject matter experts to incorporate product knowledge and updates into the training curriculum.
- Stay Updated on Sales Trends and Best Practices:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, sales methodologies, and best practices in sales training and development.
- Continuously expand your knowledge and expertise to bring innovative and effective training techniques to the organization.Collaborate with sales leadership and subject matter experts to identify training needs and objectives for the sales team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
- Proven experience (X+ years) in sales training and development, preferably in a B2B or technology-oriented environment.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, techniques, and methodologies.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate sales representatives to achieve their full potential.
- Experience with instructional design and creating engaging training materials.
- Proficiency in using various training delivery methods, including e-learning platforms and virtual training tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure training effectiveness through data analysis.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
