Media Buyer


The Media Buyer is responsible for purchasing advertising space and time for the company’s marketing campaigns. This includes negotiating rates with media outlets, placing ads, and tracking the effectiveness of ad campaigns. The Media Buyer will also be responsible for developing and executing media buying strategies that help the company achieve its goals.


  • Negotiate rates with media outlets: This includes understanding the market and negotiating rates that are fair to both the company and the media outlet.
  • Place ads: This includes placing ads in the right media outlets, at the right time, and at the right price.
  • Track the effectiveness of ad campaigns: This includes tracking the results of ad campaigns, identifying areas for improvement, and making adjustments as needed.
  • Develop and execute media buying strategies: This includes developing strategies for using media to achieve the company’s marketing goals, and executing those strategies.
  • Work with other departments to ensure that media buying is aligned with the company’s overall goals: This includes working with the sales team to ensure that media buying is aligned with sales goals, working with the product development team to ensure that media buying is aligned with product development goals, and working with the customer service team to ensure that media buying is aligned with customer service goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest media buying trends: This includes reading industry publications, attending conferences, and following thought leaders on social media.


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Experience in media buying
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
