Manager Financial Reporting

Summary

The Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial reporting process. The Manager, Financial Reporting will work with other members of the accounting team to ensure that financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and that financial information is communicated to management and investors in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements. This includes ensuring that financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP, reviewing financial statements for accuracy and completeness, and communicating financial results to management and investors.
  • Develop and maintain the company’s financial reporting policies and procedures. This includes reviewing and updating existing policies, developing new policies, and ensuring that policies are communicated to and understood by all employees.
  • Advise management on financial reporting matters. This includes providing guidance on accounting standards, interpreting accounting rules, and evaluating accounting alternatives.
  • Administer the company’s internal controls. This includes ensuring that internal controls are in place and effective, and testing the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned. This may include a variety of other tasks related to financial reporting, such as preparing reports, conducting training, and providing support to other departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to think critically and make sound financial decisions.
