Summary
We are looking for a talented and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. They will be able to use their skills to provide financial support to the company’s management team and to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the company’s financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Reconcile financial records: Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure that the company’s financial records are accurate.
- Manage the budgeting process: Develop and manage the company’s annual budget, and track actual expenses against budgeted amounts.
- Create financial reports: Create financial reports for management and other stakeholders, such as investors and creditors.
- Administer the company’s accounting policies: Administer the company’s accounting policies and procedures, and ensure that they are in compliance with GAAP.
- Investigate financial discrepancies: Investigate financial discrepancies and take corrective action as needed.
- Provide financial advice to management: Provide financial advice to management on a variety of topics, such as capital budgeting, mergers and acquisitions, and financial planning.
- Oversee the company’s accounting staff: Oversee the company’s accounting staff and ensure that they are meeting the company’s financial reporting needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Experience: Experience in financial accounting
